Disney made a splash this past week by announcing the content lineup for their upcoming streaming service (and Netflix competitor) Disney+ !  The service will be available starting November 12, 2019 and will cost $6.99 monthly (or $70 annually).  Another speculated and yet-to-be announced feature will be the ability to bundle Disney+ with Hulu and / or ESPN+ at a discounted price.
As a family that has already cut the cord, this was excellent news for us!  Gone are the days of having to hope and pray our favorite Disney (… and Marvel, … and Star Wars) movies are still on Netflix.  For one price we’ll be able to access almost the entire library of Disney branded content (… goodbye Disney Vault!) and get a raft of new and original content made exclusively for Disney+ !  I won’t go into full detail here because other sites have done an excellent job already listing and summarizing that content… so i’ll redirect you to deadline.com where you can read this article detailing the planned offerings for the first two years of the service.
By the end of its first year, Disney+ will be the home of more than 7,000 TV episodes and over 500 movies!  The content will be organized into channels that represent the many pillars of the expanding Disney entertainment empire.  Some highlights include:

But perhaps most surprisingly... it was also announced that Disney+ would be the exclusive streaming home for THE SIMPSONS!
Aside from the new and original content on offer, you can count on the service to be the exclusive streaming home of most ( if not all… ) Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm cinematic releases!  If you’re into pop culture, this… most likely is your jam.
